KIPO Tower and Transmitter Project
Pu`u O`hia (Tantalus), Ko`olau Mountains, O`ahu

Here are some views of the KIPO tower site project on Pu`u O`hia (Tantalus), O`ahu.
This project is nearly 20 years in the making, and will finally be complete in the fall of 2008.

The new KIPO tower site is located directly above Honolulu, at over 2000 feet above sea level.
The idea of relocation to this site came from Robert Leembrugen, former chief engineer of HPR.
It took many years of negotiation and patience to bring the project to completion.

This is Page Three, which includes the Transmitter installation

Page One has photos of the Site preparation and installation.
